Out of the whole year, autumn might be my favourite for modest dressing. Summer means constantly thinking about fabric weight and whether I’m going to melt under three layers.

Longline cardigans over dresses, a good coat that doubles as an extra layer of coverage, ankle boots instead of sandals – it all just works together without you having to think too hard, which as a busy mum of four is exactly the energy I need from my wardrobe.
