25 Stunning Eid Decor Ideas You’ll Actually Want to Recreate

It’s the night before Eid.

I’ve got four kids running riot, a husband who has suddenly decided it’s the perfect time to ask what’s for suhoor and I’m standing in my living room at 11pm thinking, why does this place look so… beige?

Sound familiar?

I’m Shaz a London based mum of four: a former bridal makeup and henna artist, a self confessed foodie and someone who has been happily losing her mind building online businesses since 2020.

Growing up with a mix of Bengali and English culture taught me one thing Eid is not just a day it is a whole experience and the decor really does matter.

Over the years, I’ve gone from last-minute bargain bin ribbon tied around a mirror (don’t judge me, I had a newborn) to actually planning ahead with a proper vision.

And now I’m sharing everything I’ve learned so you don’t have to figure it out at 11pm the night before.

Let’s have itttt.

Eid Decor Ideas

Eid is one of those occasions where the atmosphere does half the work.

Whether it is Eid ul Fitr at the end of Ramadan or Eid ul Adha the energy you create in your home sets the tone for the entire day.

For us Muslims it is about celebration gratitude togetherness and honestly making the kids feel like it is the most magical day of the year.

You do not need to spend a fortune.

You just need a little planning yes even the late night ADHD rabbit hole researching crescent moon garlands at 2am I have been there done that and definitely bought the bunting.

🌙 Classic & Traditional Eid Vibes

1. Crescent Moon and Star Bunting

This is the ultimate Eid staple. Hang it across your mantelpiece, windows, or along a feature wall. Gold foil versions look incredibly luxe against a dark background.

2. Eid Mubarak Banner

A classic for a reason. Go for velvet lettering, acrylic LED versions, or simple kraft paper styles depending on your aesthetic. Prop it up on a shelf or hang above a doorway

3. Lantern Centrepiece Display

Moroccan-style lanterns in gold, copper, or black make for a jaw-dropping centrepiece. I got obsessed with these after our trip to Morocco — the souks there were something else. Stack them in varying heights on a console table or dining table.

4. Hanging Paper Lanterns

In Jewel Tones Deep emerald, royal blue, burgundy and gold. Cluster them from the ceiling at different heights for a really impactful look. Dead easy, dead cheap, and they photograph beautifully.

5. Rose and Greenery Table Runner

You know how South Asian weddings always have those stunning floral arrangements?

You can bring that same energy into your Eid table setting on a budget. Faux florals have come a long way, as someone who spent 16 years doing bridal work, I know good from bad.

6. Dried Pampas Grass in Metallic Vases

Minimalism meets celebration. Pampas grass in a tall gold or brass vase looks incredibly elegant and does double duty as everyday decor.

Very much my vibe, I’m all about that simple, stress-free aesthetic.

7. Floral Wreath for the Front Door

Welcome your Eid guests properly. A gold, green and white floral wreath with a small “Eid Mubarak” tag is such a beautiful touch.

8. Gold & White Balloon Arch

Balloon arches are everywhere for a reason, they’re dramatic, festive and make incredible backdrops for photos.

Stick to a colour palette of white, gold and ivory for something that looks grown up rather than a five-year-old’s party. (Not that there’s anything wrong with that…my five-year-old demands the full balloon situation every year.)

9. Crescent Moon & Star Foil Balloons

These are non-negotiable in our house. The kids love them, they look fab in photos, and they’re incredibly affordable.

If you haven’t got gold charger plates yet, what are you doing with your life? They instantly elevate any table setting and cost almost nothing per plate on Amazon.

14. Dessert Table Backdrop

If you’re doing an Eid dessert spread (and you should be, this is not the time for minimalism in the food department), set up a simple backdrop using fabric, a sequin curtain, or a balloon garland. Add your “Eid Mubarak” banner and you’ve got a professional-looking setup.

15. Fairy Lights in a Glass Vase

Stuff copper wire fairy lights into a large glass vase or hurricane lantern for an instant glow. So simple it’s almost embarrassing how good it looks.

16. LED Candles Along the Windowsill

LED flameless candles are a gift …safe around kids (I have four, remember), reusable, and they give off the warmest, cosiest light. Line them along a windowsill or mantelpiece for an easy, beautiful effect.

21. Calligraphy Art Print

Frame a beautiful Arabic calligraphy print: “Eid Mubarak”, “Alhamdulillah” or a favourite ayah. It works year-round and costs almost nothing to print and frame at home. My fav is this black and gold print set of the Ayatul Kursi linked below.

22. Neutral Tone Crescent Moon Shelf Decor

For those of us who love a clean, minimal aesthetic (raises hand very enthusiastically), opt for matte beige or white crescent moon ornaments on your shelves rather than anything too glittery or over the top. Less is more, and it actually photographs better too.

23. Geometric Islamic Pattern Cushion Covers

Swap out your regular cushion covers for ones with Islamic geometric patterns in gold, teal or terracotta. Instantly transforms a sofa. Takes thirty seconds to do.

24. Hanging Moon & Star Window Decorations

25. DIY Eid Mubarak Hessian Sack Sign

If you’re crafty (or just enjoy a bit of a DIY on a Sunday afternoon), cut hessian fabric into a banner shape, stencil “Eid Mubarak” in gold paint, and hang it with jute twine. Rustic, warm, personal and it costs about £3 to make.

Quick Eid Decor FAQ

When should I start decorating for Eid?

Ideally, the weekend before the last week of Ramadan so you can enjoy the decor and have it ready in time. But honestly? Even the night before works if you’ve planned ahead (unlike some of us who shall remain nameless).

What colours are most popular for Eid decor in 2026?

Green, white and gold remain classics. Deep jewel tones like emerald and navy are trending, alongside warm neutrals — think off-white, warm beige and antique gold for a more grown-up aesthetic.

How can I decorate for Eid on a budget?

Balloon garlands, fairy lights, printed banners, and faux florals from Amazon or the pound shop go a very long way. Most of the biggest impact decor (like candles in glass vases or twine card displays) costs almost nothing.

Can I reuse Eid decorations for both Eid ul Fitr and Eid ul Adha?

Absolutely. That’s why investing in quality, neutral-toned crescent moon and star pieces is such a smart move — they work for both Eids and won’t look out of place year to year.

Where can I buy Eid decorations in the UK?

Amazon has a fantastic range, as do IKEA (for neutral bases), B&M, The Range, and independent Muslim-owned shops on Etsy and Instagram. Keep an eye out around Ramadan, the stock changes fast.

My Thoughts…

Eid decor doesn’t have to be stressful, expensive, or something you figure out the night before (again…not speaking from experience at all). With a bit of planning, a few key pieces, and your own personal touch, you can create a home that feels genuinely special for the day.

Whether you’re going all out with a balloon arch and dessert table or keeping it minimal with a few candles and calligraphy prints, the most important thing is that it feels like you and your family.
